Lady Floriade Cocktail: A Sip of Grace and Enchantment
Prepare your glasses, dear reader, for a concoction of such elegance that even the finest Regency soirées could scarcely compare. Allow me to present the Lady Floriade Cocktail, an elixir as enchanting as the gardens from which it draws inspiration.
Underground Spirits Lady Floriade Gin: 60 ml
Pineapple Juice: 45 ml
Blanc Vermouth: 5 ml
Caramelised Pineapple Syrup: 5 ml (see instructions below)
Violet Syrup (Monin): 5 ml
Cherry Blossom Syrup (Monin): 5 ml
Orange Blossom Water: 5 ml
Butterfly Pea Tea (brewed and cooled): 20 ml
Mint Syrup: 5 ml
- Begin, dear connoisseur, by collecting some of these ingredients. Specialty stores shall provide the required Violet Syrup and Cherry Blossom Syrup by Monin; the Orange Blossom Water and the Butterfly Pea Tea.
- In a mixing glass, blend the Lady Floriade Gin with pineapple juice, Blanc Vermouth, and syrups (Violet, Cherry Blossom, and Mint). Add the Orange Blossom Water with care, for it lends an aromatic whisper.
- Let the Butterfly Pea Tea, allow a gentle cool before measuring, and let it cascade into the mixture. Its infusion will cast a soft, blue petal-like hue.
- Shake well with ice, then strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint or edible flower or dehydrated pineapple, if you so desire.
Caramelised Pineapple Syrup: For this divine addition, select a ripe pineapple, cut into small chunks. Caramelise by gently cooking in a pan over medium heat until golden, allowing the sugars to release their blissful fragrance. Blend to a smooth consistency, then strain, preserving only the syrupy essence. You can add a touch of brown sugar to enhance sweetness, if needed.
Take heed, dear reader, and raise your glass to a garden in bloom—may each sip be a whisper of splendour as you sit and watch your flowers!
