We are thrilled to announce this most delightful partnership with Hyatt Hotel Canberra – our Tipple and Tea afternoon tea buffet at the iconic five-star Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

Tipple and Tea will take place on 16th, 17th and 18th November (with more dates in future to be confirmed) and is the chance for Hyatt guests and visitors to pair an elegant Underground Spirits cocktail or deconstructed Gin and Tonic with Hyatt Hotel Canberra’s indulgent afternoon tea buffet in the heritage listed Tea Lounge.
Not so long ago, alcohol was prohibited in the ACT, it was the realm of the underground. That ban was lifted in 1928 when the Hyatt Hotel received its first liquor licence, and alcohol was something to be sipped and savoured – a delight found only in hotel lounges and dining rooms.
At Tipple and Tea, revisit this bygone era and get a taste of the mystique of the 1920s as you pair Underground Spirits’ exquisite pours with your petit fours.
At the Tipple and Tea afternoon tea buffet, guests can choose from the blushing la vie en rose – Underground Spirits Gin paired with Chambord liqueur, a dash of fresh lemon juice and rosemary flower infused honey syrup – or the delicate Madame Underground - a Martini style drink with Underground Spirits Gin paired with Australian Vermouth, fresh whole strawberries and lavender infused honey syrup.
And for the visitors to the Hyatt after something a little different to the afternoon tea experience, Underground Spirits is now permanently on Hyatt Hotel Canberra’s cocktail menu. The Mr Underground features deep coffee, vanilla flavour and a delicious twist of blueberry.
