A Perfect Pairing
Recently we embarked on a social evening event which was a little bit fancy and a little bit special.
As a proudly Australian owned and operated company, we were thrilled to connect with the Canberra Southern Cross Yacht Club, where together we hosted ‘A Perfect Pairing’ of our spirits and exquisite cuisine.
It was a wildly successful night that presented attendees with a 100% original, pre-planned, sophisticated menu matching of delicious distinct Underground spirits, to classic fine food favourites.
This unique event was the first of its kind worldwide for us, so we are absolutely thrilled to report back that it was a huge hit!
The menu of the night was designed specifically with our Underground flavours in mind. This allowed a body of delectable dinner items to be built to perfection, championing our unique tones beautifully.
Of course, we wanted to make the night a bit fun too – in typical Underground fashion. So upon arrival, guests were invited to design their very own gin and tonic, using a wide range of fresh and luxury garnishes, herbs, berries and citruses. There was a lot of amusement and excitement around the G&T station – a great way to kick off the event!
After a giggle and G&T ganter, we provided a brief and interesting summary on the Underground distillery history – until at last, it was time to eat:
The Menu
1st Course: Prosciutto wrapped Oysters complimented by our signature vodka.
2nd Course: Victorian Lamb Cutlets paired with our caramel vodka.
3rd Course: Cinnamon spiced Pork-belly matched with our hazelnut vodka.
4th Course: Roast Duck with cherry glaze balanced with our vanilla vodka.
5th Course: Cheese & red wine poached pear matched with Shiraz & Pepperberry gin.
It was a great event that formed a bond between us, the yacht club and wonderful guests!
